anchlands Management Guild (RMG) trains aspiring young ranch managers through a hands-on curriculum based on our ranch business day to day activities. Trainees learn by having significant areas of responsibility and by being intimately involved in day-to-day operations. Skills needed in today’s ranching environment are emphasized – financial planning, land management, livestock grazing planning, cattle genetics, leather crafting, processing and butchering, mechanical engineering, working with young horses, and working with environmental organizations and governmental agencies. Trainees also spend time off ranch getting experience on other ranches, and attend conferences and workshops to supplement the curriculum.

Upon successful completion of the two-year program, RMG graduates are eligible for full-time placement at Ranchlands-managed ranches, placed on Ranchlands own operations or on other ranches. This arrangement provides career advancement opportunities to RMG alumni while also ensuring that Ranchlands has a strong corps of experienced ranch professionals who are intimately familiar with the Ranchlands program. As a result, Ranchlands is capable of handling multiple, complex management assignments with the highest confidence in our team’s abilities.

RMG is intended for young people who want to manage ranches for a living. For those interested in applying for a position at RMG, please contact Ranchlands Corporate Offices in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
